The project involved reconfiguring existing dining space within an active airport concourse to accommodate automated food-service equipment, including electrical upgrades, mechanical coordination, and integration with existing life-safety systems
Working in a secure, high-traffic airport environment required:
Strict coordination with airport operations and security
Phased work and controlled access
Off-hours scheduling
Careful integration into existing mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems
Because this was the first installation of its kind in the Columbus market, MAC worked closely with Donatos, the architect, engineer, and airport representatives to problem-solve in real time, adapt to evolving equipment requirements, and deliver a clean, operational result.
The project demonstrates MAC’s ability to execute innovative concepts within complex, highly regulated environments where flexibility, coordination, and communication are critical.
Together, we can create impactful spaces that leave a lasting positive impact on your community.
