MAC Construction completed an eight-month, $10 million renovation of the Hyatt Regency Convention Center Hotel while maintaining full hotel operations.

Scope included comprehensive guest room upgrades executed on a phased, floor-by-floor schedule. Preconstruction services included early budgeting, schedule development, and constructability coordination to de-risk execution prior to mobilization.

Key challenges included:

• Renovation of nearly 600 rooms in an occupied environment
• Limited staging space in an active downtown convention setting
• Coordination around major events
• COVID-related material and labor disruptions

Through detailed planning, enabling mechanical work prior to renovation, and disciplined phasing, MAC delivered the project on time and within budget while protecting the guest experience.
